Of all the weeks . . . it was this one that I had to update my continuing education requirements for the Series 6 license that I hold prior to leaving - a 3-hour (scheduled) session that I managed to get through in an hour and 20 minutes thankfully.
Then dinner at the Rishel household to check out their new swimming pool and visit with their family - 3 pre-teen boys and one teenage girl. This is the first time I've had the opportunity to meet Rod's wife Melanie and her children Caitlin and Colton.
Then a final goodbye to all my friends at American General on Allen Parkway where I've worked for the past 14 years. My office now sits empty. I'll miss being around the energy and talents of this team but so glad I'll continue to work with them, only now remotely. My last day there I had the opportunity to discuss our Chinese American initiative during our town hall meeting with these two ladies.
Finally, there was a lot of last minute purging and organization that still needed to be done on the final day and, unfortunately a bit of drama around the moving company, but they finally showed up and the packing commenced.
One of the best parts of this week is Sue has come to visit, offer her support and make the road trip with me from Houston to Charleston.
